On November 12th we will be having a Texas Conference Youth Event. The event is called “Texas Youth Forum.” The event is a question and answer session with our Texas Conference Officials (Elder Carlos Craig & Elder Gary Brady) as well as Southwestern Adventist University‘s Vice President for Spiritual Development (Elder Bill Kilgore). In this Texas forum, youth from all over the Texas Conference, will be able to ask questions (i.e. Why do bad things happen to good people? why is there so much controversy in the church? Why doesn’t our church have one universal way to worship?) to our church leaders and receive answers to those questions.
The Conference will be divided into four areas and have a host church for each area. The host church for the DFW area will be the Keene Spanish SDA Church, the host church for the Houston area will be the Spring Branch SDA Church, the host church for the Austin/San Antonio area will be the Cedar Park SDA Church, and the host church for the Valley will be announced once confirmed. The youth from these areas will go to their area host church on Nov 12th at 4pm and participate in the question and answer session.
The main venue and host of this program will be the Keene Spanish SDA church. All three panelists will be physically present at the Keene Spanish Church and the other three areas will be linked through media technology. Youth from the Austin/San Antonio, Houston, and Valley areas will be watching the live program on screen at their area host church and will be able to ask their questions through email, text message, twitter, and even through Facebook to have those questions replied by one of our three panelists.
The program will be entirely in English with a Spanish audio feed being available for any Spanish church who would like to tune in to watch the program through an online streaming source.
